No Return - by Erik

i punched
through
the flesh was torn
the mind was worn
my heart has failed
a new life born
i saw the
hope
i tied the rope
to make retreat
if need be
i found a
chance
i took one glance
and jumped
when i hit
i did not fit
and that was it
all time
was lost
some people watched
one line was crossed
no return
when i hit
i did not fit
that was not it
i did not fit
i turned
around
my rope was gone
my heart was drawn
the mind was raw
my life was flawed
i did not
fit
i cant see it
i could not sit
and deal with it
my rope was
gone
there's no way back
i lost the slack
my heart is black
the blood at dawn
flows through the crack
the sweetest
eyes
the loudest cries
the boldest signs
the darkest lies
a warning
some loving
but unrewarding
i did not fit
